Herbal Medicine is Still the First Choice in Many Cultures
Arguably the world’s oldest form of treatment
Herbs have been successfully used for thousands of years in ancient China and India (Ayurvedic Medicine), and more recently (but still centuries old) in Europe.
Many clinical trials have shown herbs to be effective in treating a variety of issues.
I use herbs in my practice alongside other therapies. They are a powerful form of natural medicine. I often use them to help correct digestive health and for hormonal rebalancing.
Some of the herbs I like to use include Liquorice, Berberine, St Mary’s Thistle, Vitex Agnus Castus, Slippery Elm, Ashwagandha, Aloe Vera, Wormwood, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Golden Seal root, Garlic bulb, White Willow bark, Echinacea, Wild Yam, Motherwort, Lemon Balm, Wild Carrot, St John’s Wort, and many more.
Understanding how herbs can interact with pharmaceutical drugs is important, so discussing these with a Naturopath or Herbalist is recommended.
